The Rejuvenation Bar offers medically supervised weight loss with semaglutide or tirzepatide at our offices in Miami (Kendall) and North Providence, Rhode Island. Your first visit includes a weigh-in, body fat measurement and goal setting with Dr. Eileen Rivera Jimenez, DNP, FNP. Eligible patients can start the same day, with weekly or monthly follow-ups.

Medical weight loss is a weight-management program run by a licensed clinician. It combines prescription medication, when appropriate, with regular measurements and coaching on eating and activity. At The Rejuvenation Bar, Dr. Eileen tracks body composition as well as weight, so you can see whether you are losing fat rather than muscle.
Both are once-weekly injections that mimic hormones your gut releases after eating. They help you feel full sooner, reduce cravings and steady blood sugar, so most people eat less without constant hunger. Semaglutide acts on one hormone receptor (GLP-1). Tirzepatide acts on two (GIP and GLP-1).
Dr. Eileen recommends one or the other based on your goals, history, how you have responded to past medicines, and side effects. Some patients switch from one to the other during their program.
| Semaglutide | Tirzepatide | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Activates GLP-1 receptors | Activates GIP and GLP-1 receptors |

Dr. Eileen goes over your history, medications, past weight-loss attempts and goals.
We record your weight and body fat.
We can draw labs in either office (insurance or cash), or review results you bring from the past 6 months.
Together you set a target and choose weekly or monthly check-ins.
If treatment is appropriate, you can begin the same day.
Weekly patients are weighed at each visit. Monthly patients are weighed and have body fat re-measured. At every check-in, Dr. Eileen reviews:
how you are eating, including whether you can still finish a full plate
side effects and how to manage them
exercise and activity
whether your dose or plan should change
Follow-ups can also be done virtually if you are located in Florida or Rhode Island.
Many of our new patients come from online programs. These are the problems they describe most often, and how our program works instead.
| What patients tell us | How it works here |
|---|---|
| The pharmacy changed from month to month | Your medication comes from the same licensed pharmacy each time |
| They could not reach a provider with questions | You see Dr. Eileen, and you can call or text the office |
| Medication arrived as powder they had to mix | Ours arrives ready to use, shipped cold |
| No one checked their progress in person | Weigh-ins and body fat tracking at every scheduled visit |
In the STEP-1 trial of brand-name semaglutide, adults lost an average of about 15% of their body weight over 68 weeks. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of brand-name tirzepatide, adults on the highest dose lost an average of about 21% over 72 weeks. Both trials combined medication with diet and exercise and used FDA-approved products. Your results depend on your dose, habits, health and how consistently you follow the plan.
The most common side effects of both are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach pain, indigestion and lower appetite. They are usually strongest when a dose increases. Tell us if you cannot eat or drink enough; do not wait for your next visit.
These medicines are not for everyone:
The brand-name versions of both carry a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors. Do not use them if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2.
Serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, dehydration that can affect the kidneys, and low blood sugar if you take other diabetes medicines.
Tirzepatide can make birth control pills less effective, especially after starting or increasing a dose. Ask about a backup method.
Neither should be used during pregnancy. Tell us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy.
Brand-name semaglutide (Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Zepbound) are FDA-approved for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. Dr. Eileen reviews your BMI, body composition, history and goals to decide whether medication fits. If you are already close to your goal and want to address one area, Invisa-Red body contouring at our Miami office may be a better fit.
Our program is billed as a weekly or monthly fee, and pricing is the same at both offices. Your cost depends on your plan, which medication you use, and whether you add L-carnitine to tirzepatide. Labs can be billed to insurance or paid in cash. You can pay over time with Cherry, CareCredit and Klarna — ask the office about the Klarna option — and first responders and healthcare workers can ask about our specials.
Care is led by Dr. Eileen Rivera Jimenez, DNP, FNP. Your consultation is a place to ask questions, understand the options, and decide on the next step together.
