The Rejuvenation Bar evaluates adults for growth hormone deficiency and, when they qualify, prescribes and monitors HGH therapy in-house at our Miami (Kendall) and North Providence, RI offices. Your first visit includes a blood panel with IGF-1 and screening markers. HGH is prescribed only for a diagnosed medical need, not for anti-aging.

Human growth hormone (HGH) is made by the pituitary gland at the base of the brain. In adults, it helps regulate body composition, muscle, bone and metabolism. Prescription HGH (somatropin) replaces growth hormone in people whose bodies do not make enough.
Signs can include more belly fat, less muscle and strength, lower bone density, low energy and reduced quality of life. Many of these also happen with normal aging and other conditions, which is why testing comes first.
Dr. Eileen Rivera Jimenez, DNP, FNP starts with your history and a blood panel. IGF-1 is a key marker because it reflects growth hormone activity. A single IGF-1 result often cannot confirm deficiency in adults, so further testing, sometimes a stimulation test, may be needed. We also check cancer screening markers, because growth hormone should not be used when there is an active cancer.
Yes, with limits. Federal law allows HGH to be prescribed only for approved medical uses, such as diagnosed growth hormone deficiency. It is illegal to distribute HGH for anti-aging, bodybuilding or athletic performance. That is why every HGH plan here starts with a diagnosis.
See our peptide therapy page for more on growth hormone peptides.
| HGH (somatropin) | Growth hormone peptides | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | The hormone itself | Peptides that prompt your body to release its own growth hormone |
| Examples | Somatropin | CJC-1295, ipamorelin, tesamorelin |
| FDA status | FDA-approved for specific medical uses | Tesamorelin is approved for one use; the others are not FDA-approved |
| Requires a diagnosis | Yes | Evaluated case by case |
Common side effects include fluid retention and swelling, joint and muscle aches, and tingling or numbness in the hands. HGH can also raise blood sugar. Regular labs and check-ins let Dr. Eileen adjust your dose early.
HGH pricing is the same at both offices and depends on your prescription. Labs can be billed to insurance or paid in cash. Payment plans are available through Cherry, CareCredit and Klarna; contact the office about the Klarna option.
Care is led by Dr. Eileen Rivera Jimenez, DNP, FNP. Your consultation is a place to ask questions, understand the options, and decide on the next step together.
