The Rejuvenation Bar does not use Botox. We use Dysport and Daxxify, two FDA-approved wrinkle relaxers in the same class as Botox, to treat forehead lines, frown lines (the "11s"), crow's feet and neck bands at our Miami (Kendall) and North Providence, RI offices. Appointments take 30 to 45 minutes, most new patients are treated the same day, and every patient is reassessed at 2 weeks.

Dysport and Daxxify are prescription wrinkle relaxers made from botulinum toxin type A, the same class of product as Botox. A few small injections relax the muscles that crease the skin when you frown, squint or raise your brows. Both are FDA-approved for moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows.
Many people say "Botox" for any wrinkle-relaxing injection. We use Dysport and Daxxify instead. All three are botulinum toxin type A, relax the same muscles and treat the same lines. The main differences are how fast they start, how long they last, and how they are dosed. Daxxify lasted a median of 6 months in its trials, compared with about 3 to 4 months for Botox and Dysport. If you have had Botox before, tell Dr. Eileen Rivera Jimenez, DNP, FNP how it worked for you, and she will match the product and dose to that history.
Treating forehead lines, crow's feet or neck bands with Dysport or Daxxify is a common off-label use that Dr. Eileen will discuss with you.
Dr. Eileen usually starts first-time patients with Dysport, which lasts a typical 3 months or so. Daxxify is often the next step for patients who have been treated for years, whose results wear off quickly, or who want a stronger result in a specific muscle such as the 11s. The two can be combined in one visit: for example, Daxxify for strong frown lines and Dysport for the forehead and crow's feet.

Forehead lines, the horizontal lines that form when you raise your brows.
Frown lines (the "11s"), the vertical lines between the eyebrows.
Crow's feet, the lines at the outer corners of the eyes.
Neck bands, the vertical cords in the neck (platysmal bands).
Frown lines are the FDA-approved cosmetic use for both products. Treating other areas is a common off-label use that Dr. Eileen will discuss with you.
Plan for 30 to 45 minutes in total. Most people return to their day right away.
Dr. Eileen reviews your history and any past injectable treatments.
She watches how your face moves and maps the injection points.
Treatment takes a few minutes, using a very fine needle.
You return in 2 weeks so she can check your results and adjust if needed.
The most common side effects are brief redness, small bruises and headache. Less often, an eyelid or eyebrow can droop for a few weeks. Rarely, the effect can spread and cause trouble swallowing, speaking or breathing; get medical help right away if that happens. Avoid treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a nerve-muscle disorder. Follow your written aftercare, including no rubbing the treated area for the rest of the day.
Pricing is the same at both offices and is based on the product and the number of units you need. Units are not interchangeable between brands; for example, Dysport typically uses more units than Botox for the same area. Current promotions are listed in the Rejuvenation Bar app, and payment plans are available through Cherry, CareCredit and Klarna; contact the office about the Klarna option.
Dysport and Daxxify are botulinum toxin type A products, not dermal fillers. Ask Eileen which neurotoxin fits your treatment goals, what it is intended to treat, and how its risks and treatment plan compare with other options.

Care is led by Dr. Eileen Rivera Jimenez, DNP, FNP. Your consultation is a place to ask questions, understand the options, and decide on the next step together.
