Lip fillers in North Providence and Miami

The Rejuvenation Bar offers lip filler with Restylane hyaluronic acid products at our North Providence, RI and Miami (Kendall) offices. Dr. Eileen Rivera Jimenez, DNP, FNP, plans each treatment around volume, shape and symmetry, not just size. Results show right away, swelling settles over about 2 weeks, and results typically last up to a year.

What can lip filler do?

Lip filler can add volume, sharpen the lip border, improve balance between the upper and lower lip, and soften small lines around the mouth. It can improve mild unevenness, though no treatment can promise perfect symmetry. More filler is not always better; proportion matters more than size.

Lip filler vs lip flip

A lip flip is an off-label use of a wrinkle relaxer and is not one of our standard treatments. If you are curious about it, ask Dr. Eileen at your consultation.

What happens at your lip filler appointment?

  1. 1

    Share your goals

Tell Dr. Eileen what you like about your lips and what you want to change. Photos help.

  2. 2

    Assessment

She assesses your lips at rest and when you smile and talk.

  3. 3

    Numbing and placement

Your lips are numbed, and filler is placed in small amounts with a fine needle.

  4. 4

    Review together

She checks shape and balance as she goes, and you review the result together.

Lip filler swelling and recovery

Swelling is normal and often uneven for the first few days, so your lips may look bigger or lopsided before they settle. Bruising and tenderness are common. Avoid hard exercise, heat and alcohol for about a day, and do not press or massage your lips unless told to. Book at least 2 weeks before a big event.

How much does lip filler cost?

Lip filler pricing is the same at both offices and depends on the product and amount you need. Payment plans are available through Cherry, CareCredit and Klarna; contact the office about the Klarna option.

Your questions, answered.

How long does lip filler last?

Typically up to about 12 months, depending on the product and how quickly your body breaks it down.

Will my lips look natural?

That is the goal. Tell Dr. Eileen what "natural" means to you, and she will plan around your proportions.

How long does lip filler swelling last?

It peaks in the first 2 to 3 days and settles over about 2 weeks.

Can lip filler be dissolved?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme if needed.

Does lip filler hurt?

Your lips are numbed first, and the filler contains a numbing medicine. Most people describe it as pressure and mild stinging.

Can I get lip filler before an event?

Yes, but book at least 2 weeks ahead so swelling and any bruising can settle.
